To the Father, through the Son, in the Holy Spirit!

Easter celebrates the most amazing miracle Jesus ever performed – His Resurrection! The reason this is the most amazing miracle is because of what it accomplished. Through His Incarnation, Passion, Death, and Resurrection, Jesus Christ, Son of God, opened Heaven’s gates for us. Those gates had closed with Adam’s sin in the Garden of Eden. Because Jesus took on the sins of the entire world and offered Himself as the Paschal Lamb on the Cross, those sins are forgiven. But it is through the Resurrection that Heaven is opened. And that is our ultimate goal! Alleluia! Christ is risen!

Easter is a season that lasts 50 days. Beginning on Easter Sunday and ending at the Vigil of Pentecost. During this time, the Church celebrates in a particular way the Resurrection of our Lord and the appearances and teachings of Jesus Christ after He rose from the dead. The Theology of the Resurrection is indeed deep and complex. No other religion claims what Christianity claims – Resurrection. The doctrines of the Trinity, the Incarnation, the Paschal Mystery, and the final resurrection of the dead all tie to this singular event. So, because there is so much to learn and absorb, we spend a season of 50 days to explore it. Here are some resources for you and your family to use to do your own exploring of these Truths.
